5 PearlZ Scholarship
The 5 PearlZ Scholarship offers financial assistance with college-related expenses, to a graduating, African American female senior meeting the eligibility requirements. They must be enrolling as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, trade school, etc.) in Fall 2025.

Mary Virginia S. Jackson Memorial Scholarship

The Mary Virginia S. Jackson Memorial Scholarship was established in April 2016 by Mrs. Deborah Paulette S. Hawthorne in honor of her mother, Mary Virginia S. Jackson. Mary Jackson served as a para-educator at Hugh Mercer Elementary School for over 30 years, impacting the lives of countless children. A dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist Church New Site, she valued spiritual growth and higher education as keys to success. The $750 scholarship will be awarded annually to a graduating high school senior from Shiloh Baptist Church New Site who plans to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school. Funds can be used for tuition, books, or room and board, continuing until the scholarship funds are exhausted.
The Lisa V. Herbert-Cato Memorial Scholarship

The family of Sister Lisa V. Herbert-Cato is honored to announce the establishment of a $2,500 scholarship in her memory. Lisa was a passionate educator, a devoted Christian, and an inspirational leader at Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site), where she dedicated nearly 25 years to various ministries. She pursued multiple degrees in education and psychology, ultimately serving as a Literacy Coach and Reading Specialist in Fredericksburg City Public Schools. This scholarship will continue her legacy by supporting a high school graduate from Shiloh Baptist Church (New Site) who plans to attend an accredited college, university, or trade school. The funds can be used for tuition and books, ensuring that Lisa’s love for learning and commitment to education live on.
Carrie Hill Tatum Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the Fredericksburg Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated provides scholarships to graduating high school seniors in our service area. If you attend high school in the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford, or the City of Fredericksburg you are eligible for one of ten (10) $1,000 scholarships.
